Celebrating 30 Years [a sibling anniversary surprise]

Engagements Families

I love it when people give photos as gifts and I especially love it when I get to work with my clients to carry out a surprise. Vienna got in touch with me in March because she and her brother, Philip, wanted to do a photo session to surprise their parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. We had so much fun! It makes me so happy to see siblings who are still close friends even as adults. Vienna and Philip have the kid of relationship that I pray my kids will share when they are older!

I’ve been so looking forward to sharing these photos with you, but I had to wait until the cat was out of the bag first! The big anniversary was celebrated a couple of weeks ago, and from what I hear, the gift was a hit!

Thank you, Vienna, for allowing me to be a part of such a special gift. And congratulations to your parents – here’s to 30 more years!

Jason & Kathleen [A Fall Engagement]
I just love it when my clients choose locations that mean something to them as the location of their photos. Jason & Kathleen got engaged this summer at the fountain at Wolf Creek Ranch during one of the concert events that Kathleen organized there. These two love fall, so they waited until leaves changed to take me back to the fountain for their engagement photos. And, to top it all off, they've invited me to photograph the colorful, fall wedding they are planning for next year. I consider myself one luck lady and cannot wait for that September event!
The Masuen Family
Meeting new families is certainly one of the perks of my job and I was delighted to meet the Masuen family for the first time last week. I've been blessed lately with a slew of happy babies and little Myles was no exception. He didn't let a little wind stop him from enjoying his photo shoot and it gave mom and dad a few more opportunities to snuggle him. Who doesn't want that?! I hope this happy little boy brightens your day as much as he did mine!
The Carew Family
While the color may have faded from the trees around here, this family refused to let their photos this year be colorless! I love, love the bright colors Shannon chose for herself and her beautiful girls. I tell you what, in about 10 years, Kenton is going to have a problem on his hands. I can only imagine the number of boys that are going to come knockin' on his front door... We met up on a Sunday afternoon at one of my favorite Colorado Springs locations - I like to call it  "under the bridge." It makes people curious. Or perhaps it freaks them out a little. Either way,  I love the results of this little family session and I cannot wait ...
