Colorado Engagement Photos || Heather & Ryan

Engagements

I cannot wait to show you the images from Heather & Ryan’s beautiful wedding day. However, it just seems right that their classic Colorado engagement photos should come first. Right? For their engagement session Heather & Ryan chose the rustic – and beautiful – red barn at the open space just south of Castle Rock. We met up on a cloudy day and had just enough time to complete their session before the rain really started to come down.

If you’ve ever been one of my wedding couples, then you know that I LOVE engagement sessions. It’s during engagement sessions that I get to hear a couples’ love story and get to listen to their dreams and plans for their upcoming wedding. Wedding days are wonderful, but it’s during engagement sessions that I get to slow down with my couples and really get to know them.

Thank you, Heather & Ryan, for spending some time with me before your big day. I hope that you will look back on these photos with fondness for the love and anticipation that filled your relationship in the months leading up to your wedding!

I called Meghan t ...

I love it when people give photos as gifts and I especially love it when I get to work with my clients to carry out a surprise. Vienna got in touch with me in March because she and her brother, Philip, wanted to do a photo session to surprise their parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. We had so much fun! It makes me so happy to see siblings who are still close friends even as adults. Vienna and Philip have the kid of relationship that I pray my kids will share when they are older! I've been so looking forward to sharing these photos with you, but I had to wait until the cat was out of the bag first! The big anniversary was celebrate ...
