Colorado Springs Engagement Photos || Josh & Maddi

Engagements

In one week, these two will officially tie the knot – so this seems like a most appropriate time to reflect on their very Colorado engagement session.

I tell you what, the state of  Colorado really dealt us a blow on the afternoon of Josh & Maddi’s shoot. The weather was painfully cold, but because they live far away, we just could not reschedule. Thank goodness these guys are tough cookies!

Between the bright sun, the wind, and the freezing temps, this session earned the title “Most Challenging Photo Session Ever” in my books.  We shot for about 15 minutes – sat in the car for 30 to warm up – and then shot for 15 more. AND WE WERE DONE.

Thankfully, Josh and Maddi are crazy in love and made the whole thing look peaceful and snuggly and wonderful. If this is the way the look at each other when their fingers and toes are freezing off, I CAN’T WAIT to see the way they look at each other at the end of the aisle on Sunday!

Just one more week, you two!

So I stared to pray for a sibling - and I thought while I was at it, I had better get pretty specific in my prayers. I asked Jesus for a sister. ...

Shannon & Brian’s Cherry Creek Engagement
These two lucky ducks are getting married in June…on the beach…in Mexico. In keeping with that theme, they wanted something warm and sunny and sandy for their engagement. The trouble is, we live in Colorado and it's the middle of winter. And, it seems that it just won't quit snowing here. In the end, we settled on the Cherry Creek Reservoir which offered a beach - albeit a snowy beach - and the Colorado skies opened up warm and sunny for just a few moments. It was a chilly afternoon for sure, but I do believe that the chill in the air made for a few more snuggles from these two. You'll never find me complaining about that!

Ellen & Cameron are Engaged!
Oh boy was it cold when we started this engagement session. In fact, if you look close enough, you can see their breath in the first few pictures! But Ellen in Cameron hung in there and it turned out to be a lovely, light-filled morning! I'm thankful for the chance to capture this beautiful couple and am SO looking forward to seeing what their future holds!
