Family Photos at Rock Ledge Ranch || The Tang Family

Families

Last year, Heather chose to take her family photos at Rock Ledge ranch. As you can see, most of the leaves had fallen and the grass had already browned. However, Rock Ledge Ranch still had much beauty and many views to offer as a back drop. It’s that amazing Colorado beauty. It just never stops, does it?

I have a great admiration for large families and photographing this family of seven was a pure joy. I loved their bantering and playfulness with one another throughout the shoot. And I truly appreciate the amount of time it takes to get seven people dressed, groomed, and in the same place at the same time. Heather, I truly hope you found that all of your hard work was worth it once you saw your photos.

Thank you, thank you for giving me this amazing honor of capturing you all! I had a great time!

The Bishop Family || Colorado Springs Family Photos
Fall in Colorado Springs. It's glorious, right? More warmth. More color. Less rain. And glorious light. (Okay, maybe that last one is just a "thing" for us photographers) In any case, it's just about the perfect time for family photos - as evidenced here by the Bishop family. We did indeed have a perfect fall evening last October for these photos. But what I love most about the Bishop's photos is the way that they allowed their kids to explore and adventure throughout our time together. There was no yelling or stress and very little posing. But there was lots of stick-finding, jumping, climbing, leaf-rolling, and general curiosity to ca ...

The Gaddis Family
What a joy it was to meet up with the Gaddis family for photos at the beginning of December. They live close to Denver, but decided that the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel would be the perfect place for their family photos. They were hoping to use the photos for Christmas gifts, so I held off a bit on sharing them with you so as to not ruin the surprise. I sure hope these gifts were part of a very Merry Christmas for them! Don't let these beautiful people fool you, it was freeeeezing cold during this shoot. But, I believe that the gorgeous surroundings and the Christmas decorations made up for that fact. And didn't they do a good job of smil ...

Joel & Emily [Downtown Colorado Springs]
When Joel & Emily visited Colorado Springs this summer, I was so fortunate to meet up with them one evening for family photos. They are well loved, and I knew they would be busy while they were here, but they made time for a quick session and even let me test out a new location on them. Little Nora is full of curiosity and even tested out her new walking skills a bit for me. And she had just enough patience and smiles for this short shoot. What a sweet little family of three!
