Joe & Mishaela’s Whispering Pines Engagement

Joe & Mishaela are planning a beautiful Colorado Springs wedding in June, but currently, Mishaela is in medical school (!!) in Denver. She told me that she loves pine trees and I began hunting for a good location where we could all meet half-way. After a little research, we settled on beautiful Whispering Pines park in Franktown, CO. I love shooting in new places and this location did not disappoint. What a beautiful backdrop for these two lovebirds who obviously a.d.o.r.e. each other!

I loved the way that Joe made Mishaela laugh the whole time we were together. And NOT ONCE did I have to instruct these two to snuggle. 😉 I’m so looking forward to their wedding this summer!

Matt and Kate had a beautiful wedding planned for Washington, DC. But, this Colorado girl had always envisioned that she'd have some bit of Colorado Springs to incorporate into her wedding. So, when Matt and Kate came to visit family, they snuck in a quick engagement session at Garden of the Gods. And you know what they say; The Early Bird catches the views. (They DO say that, right?) We had that gorgeous light and those breathtaking views for 30 minutes before the fog rolled in and covered the entire park for ...

Ashley & Nathaniel || Colorado Springs Engagement Photography
Last fall, I met up with Ashley and Nathaniel at Red Rock Canyon for a sweet engagement session. These two were newly engaged and oh-so-excited about planning their wedding. I loved their sense of ease with one another and their sideways smiles and glances were priceless. I know that today they are eagerly counting down the days to their big day in May. Ashley and Nathan, I truly hope the planning is still fun! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture you at this important and precious phase in your lives!

Paint Mines Engagement Session || Breanna & Justin
When Breanna and I began to talk about locations for their engagement session, I asked her if she and Justin were willing to do a bit of exploring and let me try out a new location on them. She readily agreed and I looked forward to their paint mines engagement session for weeks! It was a bit of a drive and a bit of a hike - and it was totally worth it all. This beautiful little gem on the plains of eastern Colorado was the perfect backdrop for Justin & Breanna's session. And all of the hiking around gave me time to learn more about them, about their plans for their wedding, and their dreams of the future. For example, it was their lov ...
