Joel & Emily [Downtown Colorado Springs]

When Joel & Emily visited Colorado Springs this summer, I was so fortunate to meet up with them one evening for family photos. They are well loved, and I knew they would be busy while they were here, but they made time for a quick session and even let me test out a new location on them.

Little Nora is full of curiosity and even tested out her new walking skills a bit for me. And she had just enough patience and smiles for this short shoot. What a sweet little family of three!

The Jones Ladies
Just before Father's Day, these three beautiful ladies decided that they wanted to surprise Dad with photos to fill his office. Dad was a bit suspicious when the girls left the house all dressed up one evening - and left him all alone at home. Sometimes, true surprises are hard to pull off, aren't they? In the end, Dad ended up with some true beauty to smile back at him while he is working. We laughed alot during this session. And the laughter may or may not have been due to a little bit of funny business surrounding some "potty talk." I learned a new knock-knock joke in the process and also learned that my boy is not the only kid who thin ...
Spc Cross’s Fort Carson Homecoming
I cannot tell you what an honor it was to attend the homecoming of Spc Cross. He returned to Fort Carson after serving in Qatar for 8 months. During that time his family grew by one! Spc Cross was very joyfully greeted by his wife, 5-year-old son, and brand new baby. I'm always very thankful for the ways in which my job allows me to experience things that I would not otherwise experience. Watching Mikhael jump into his daddy's arms was one of those moments. Thank you Joanna for letting me share this very special morning with your family.
