Lifestyle Newborn Session || Gatling Family

Lifestyle

I first met Kirsten 4-ish years ago when I arrived at the 5:45 am spin class she was teaching at the YMCA – and she’s kicked my booty in that class nearly every Wednesday morning since then! Though it’s early and dark and cold and often hard to wake up for, I look forward to that workout each week and am never disappointed that I showed up!

I was so excited for Kirsten when she announced that she was expecting a little girl and was THRILLED when she asked me to capture her beautiful, curly-headed bundle of joy once she arrived. Kirsten and Cameron are such good parents and it was so fun to see the way they calmly cared for little Kiara. I don’t know if they were just keeping it together for me, but I suspect not. They were absolutely unaffected by spit up and tears and took it all in stride on the morning of their newborn shoot.

I figured it was about time I shared these photos as little miss has already far surpassed this newborn phase. It really does go so fast, doesn’t it mamas? Hope you enjoy this little newborn love today! lifestyle newborn photos colorado springs family photographer colorado springs family photographer colorado springs newborn photographer colorado springs newborn photographer colorado springs family photographer colorado springs newborn photographer colorado springs lifestyle photographer colorado springs lifestyle photographer colorado springs lifestyle newborn colorado springs newborn photographer lifestyle newborn family photo lifestyle newborn

Newborn Olive
Back in April, it was my great honor to photograph the birth of Miss Olive Jane. As a photographer, there really is no more important request than that of a mother asking you to capture her baby's first breaths. Two weeks later, I had the opportunity to capture little Olive again as well as the rest of her family. (Big brother Atticus was happy to show off his muscles, but not so happy to pose with his sister.) Since her 6-month photos are just around the corner, I though it was probably time that I shared this tiny beauty with you. Enjoy!

Newborn Dorothy
I introduced you to miss Dorothy Hazel a couple of weeks ago, and today I'm excited to show you her newborn photos. Now here's the thing about miss Dorothy - Dorothy is baby number 3. 3! And the thing about being baby number 3 is that there's no time to lay around looking serene and sleepy in a little basket. No way. Baby number 3 jumps right into all the motion and commotion that is created by older siblings. I loved the way Dorothy's newborn shoot incorporated the way that her life - her family's life - really is right now. It's exciting and high energy and everyone is excited to have her join in the fun! We jumped on the bed, scrambl ...
