Maddi & Josh || Wedding at The Pines at Genesee

I first met Maddi when I had the absolute honor of coaching her freshman club volleyball team. That was an incredibly fun season and Maddi and her teammates were a joy to coach. I don’t always get to keep in touch with my players after they move on from my team, but with Maddi, I did keep in touch and was so excited for her when she started dating Josh.

Imagine my happiness when Maddi told me that they were engaged and that they wanted ME to photograph their wedding at The Pines at Genesee. I looked forward to this wedding for MONTHS and enjoyed hearing about all the love and care that was going into each detail of the planning. I loved the fact that her dad had volunteered to make the desserts (they were beautiful!) and that one of her fourth grade students had crafted the box for collecting cards.

It rained – ALOT – the day before Josh and Maddi’s big day and I was nervous for what the clouds might bring on their wedding day. However, the day came and was bright and clear and beautiful!

Josh & Maddi’s day was absolutely beautiful – every word, every prayer, and every action was heartfelt and genuine. The ceremony was a testament to their love for one another and to God’s love for them. Their families were blessed by the day and each guest was brimming with excitement for the commitment that Josh & Maddi were making to one another. We heard story after story of Josh & Maddi’s love for one another and their love for the Lord.

I’m so proud of the woman and Maddi has become and am thankful that she has such a wonderful man as Josh for her husband. I will be forever grateful to them for allowing me to capture this beautiful day. Colorado wedding photographer colorado wedding photographer wedding details colorado wedding photographer bridesmaids colorado wedding photographer pines at genesee bride getting ready colorado wedding photographer colorado wedding colorado wedding photographer pines at genesee wedding pines at genes pines at genes colorado wedding photographer pines at genesee colorado wedding photographer pines at genesee wedding bride and groom colorado wedding colorado wedding pines at genesee joyful bride colorado bride colorado bride and groom colorado wedding colorado wedding photographer colorado wedding photographer colorado wedding photographer wedding cake pines at genesee wedding toast colorado wedding photographer wedding toast wedding cake bride and groom colorado wedding photographer happy wedding guest bridesmaids wedding guest dancing wedding guest garter toss wedding exit with bubbles

Chris & Stephanie [An Evergreen Lake House Wedding]
Last summer, I kicked off wedding season by assisting the lovely Caroline Ro with Chris & Stephanie's Evergreen Lake House wedding. Even though we're smack-dab in the middle of winter, I thought today was an appropriate time to reminisce a little bit about a wedding with warm, summery scenery! Chris & Stephanie traveled all the way from Charleston to have their wedding among the mountains of beautiful Colorado and they could not have picked a more perfect spot than Evergreen. This venue, you guys. Oh my word! It was gorgeous. Add in the joyful groom and the glowing bride, top it off with the most perfect weather, and you have a wed ...

Lodge at Cathedral Pines Wedding || Justin & Breanna
There were so many things that I loved about Justin & Breanna's Lodge at Cathedral Pines wedding. Like the fact that she planned the whole color scheme around her grandmother's coral necklace and the cereal, yogurt, and mimosa bar that was provided for the guests while the bride and groom took photos. I loved the way Brianna's sister truly shared in her joy and the moment that Justin first saw his bride walking down the aisle was simply amazing. As summer comes to an end, I had fun looking back on this wedding that kicked off wedding season for me this year. As aways, it was an honor to play a role in this special day. I love my couple ...
Fred & Gracia’s Farish Recreation Area Wedding
Last January I got a sweet call from Fred's mom. Fred - who had recently moved to the Seattle area - was headed home to surprise his girlfriend with a visit and a RING! Because Fred would only be in town for a couple of days, Fred's mom wanted to know if I would schedule time that weekend following the proposal to take Fred & Gracia's engagement photos. I, of course, said yes. I loved every minute of that engagement session and immediately began looking forward to the couple's July wedding. And what a wedding it was. I kid you not, the Farish Recreation Area is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen. What a privilege i ...
