Mike & Meghan’s 2nd Anniversary

Last year, on Mike and Meghan’s first anniversary, a May downpour dramatically changed our photo shoot plans. So this year, when Meghan emailed to schedule a shoot for their second anniversary, we crossed our fingers and hoped for sun. The evening of their shoot was beautiful and we were excited to finally be able to use Red Rock Canyon as our backdrop.

And if that wasn’t enough, Mike & Meghan informed me that a little someone will be joining us for next year’s shoot! I sure can’t wait to meet their new babe in a few months and I’m already wondering if he/she will laugh and joke and carry on as much as these two do!

I believe that the celebration of a couple's marriage should last FAR beyond the wedding day and that each year together truly should be honored. It's fun to see the way different couples celebrate and I was thrilled that Meghan chose me to be a part of this milestone. And then it rained. I woke up the morning of their shoot to rain. Joe & Mishaela’s Whispering Pines Engagement
Joe & Mishaela are planning a beautiful Colorado Springs wedding in June, but currently, Mishaela is in medical school (!!) in Denver. She told me that she loves pine trees and I began hunting for a good location where we could all meet half-way. After a little research, we settled on beautiful Whispering Pines park in Franktown, CO. I love shooting in new places and this location did not disappoint. What a beautiful backdrop for these two lovebirds who obviously a.d.o.r.e. each other! I loved the way that Joe made Mishaela laugh the whole time we were together. And NOT ONCE did I have to instruct these two to snuggle. ;) I'm so lookin ...

Colorado Springs Engagement Photos || Emily & Tanner
When I was in kindergarten, I looked around my classroom one day and realized that I was not like other kids. To me, it seemed, everyone else had a brother or sister. But not me. And it dawned on me that something important was missing from my life. So naturally, I lied and told my kindergarten teacher that my mom was pregnant. Surely, if I just spoke it into existence, the sibling would eventually arrive. Unfortunately, all that did was create a few embarrassing situations for my poor mother. So I stared to pray for a sibling - and I thought while I was at it, I had better get pretty specific in my prayers. I asked Jesus for a sister. ...
