Mr & Mrs Pearson || A Colorado Fall Wedding

When I met up with Jason and Kathleen last year for their engagement session, it became very apparent to me that these two LOVE Fall.  As the months passed, it was fun to listen to them dream about and prepare for their Colorado Fall wedding and, as they shared more and more details with me, I began to dream about warm rich colors and pumpkin pie right along with them.

When the big day arrived, Stone Mountain Lodge provided the perfect backdrop; the bouquets (designed and assembled by a friend!) were absolutely breathtaking; and Kathleen’s orange heels proved just how much she loves this time of year.

By the time the day was over, I became convinced that there is perhaps no better state than Colorado for a wedding and perhaps no better time of year than Fall. Thank you, Jason and Kathleen, for giving me the incredible honor of being a part of this perfect Colorado Fall wedding. I couldn’t be more grateful.

I'm excited to share Ellen and Cameron's Fox Run Park Wedding with you today! I've heard it said that rain on your wedding day brings good luck. If this is true, then Cameron and Ellen are by far the luckiest couple I know. Minutes before their outdoor ceremony, the sky opened up and let loose. The rain came pouring down with no intention of stopping. Ellen waited patiently for a little while and then said, "Guys, I just want to get married." So out into the rain we went to witness their touching - albeit soggy - nuptials. If you know me, you know that I am a big fan of having the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. I kn ...
Ben & Hannah are Married!
One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to hear how two people came together, fell in love, and decided to take their love to the altar. It amazes me how each story is so unique and I love to watch a bride's face light up as she recounts the series of events that led up to her wedding day. Want to know what brought Hannah and Ben together? It was bear hunting. Through a church internship program, Hannah met Simon. Simon introduced Hannah to his brother Ben. Ben thought Hannah was pretty. BUT THEN, Ben learned that Hannah had KILLED A BEAR and he was hooked. Game over. Marry me. As a little girl, Hannah ...

Lodge at Cathedral Pines Wedding || Justin & Breanna
There were so many things that I loved about Justin & Breanna's Lodge at Cathedral Pines wedding. Like the fact that she planned the whole color scheme around her grandmother's coral necklace and the cereal, yogurt, and mimosa bar that was provided for the guests while the bride and groom took photos. I loved the way Brianna's sister truly shared in her joy and the moment that Justin first saw his bride walking down the aisle was simply amazing. As summer comes to an end, I had fun looking back on this wedding that kicked off wedding season for me this year. As aways, it was an honor to play a role in this special day. I love my couple ...
