Paint Mines Engagement Session || Breanna & Justin

Engagements Weddings

When Breanna and I began to talk about locations for their engagement session, I asked her if she and Justin were willing to do a bit of exploring and let me try out a new location on them. She readily agreed and I looked forward to their paint mines engagement session for weeks!

It was a bit of a drive and a bit of a hike – and it was totally worth it all. This beautiful little gem on the plains of eastern Colorado was the perfect backdrop for Justin & Breanna’s session. And all of the hiking around gave me time to learn more about them, about their plans for their wedding, and their dreams of the future. For example, it was their love for the Philadelphia Eagles that (quite literally) brought them together and they already have a bit of a wine and scotch date planned for their fifth anniversary.

Thank you both for exploring with me. I cannot wait to photograph your wedding in just four weeks!

SO MUCH about this day was perfect and beautifully planned - the weather, the venue, the decor, the BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES!! However, there was a heartfelt tenderness that was threaded in and out of the whole day that really caught my attention. Like when Dele took a quiet moment on the porch to write a litter to his bride - or when Dele presented her with the letter and a pair of sapphire earnings during their first look. Or the fact that guests traveled from across the whole country to celebrate this day. And the toasts - oh the toasts - so meanin ...

Hayley & Eric are Married!
Do you remember Aubrey? Last May, Aubrey's beautiful older sister, Hayley, got married and I was beyond honored to be asked to capture the big day. Hayley and Eric planned a tiny ceremony at the overlook above Garden of the Gods. They wanted to be married in front of their immediate family members at the exact spot where Eric proposed. And then, we woke up on the morning of their wedding to gloomy skies and rain. We all sadly predicted that gorgeous scenery might just not be on the docket for the day. Buy Hayley and Eric persisted and the ceremony went ahead as planned. And while the skies were indeed grey, the surroundings were just as br ...
