Paint Mines Engagement Session || Breanna & Justin

Engagements Weddings

When Breanna and I began to talk about locations for their engagement session, I asked her if she and Justin were willing to do a bit of exploring and let me try out a new location on them. She readily agreed and I looked forward to their paint mines engagement session for weeks!

It was a bit of a drive and a bit of a hike – and it was totally worth it all. This beautiful little gem on the plains of eastern Colorado was the perfect backdrop for Justin & Breanna’s session. And all of the hiking around gave me time to learn more about them, about their plans for their wedding, and their dreams of the future. For example, it was their love for the Philadelphia Eagles that (quite literally) brought them together and they already have a bit of a wine and scotch date planned for their fifth anniversary.

Thank you both for exploring with me. I cannot wait to photograph your wedding in just four weeks!

I love it when people give photos as gifts and I especially love it when I get to work with my clients to carry out a surprise. Vienna got in touch with me in March because she and her brother, Philip, wanted to do a photo session to surprise their parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. We had so much fun! I've been so looking forward to sharing these photos with you, but I had to wait until the cat was out of the bag first! The big anniversary was celebrate ...

Ben & Hannah are Married!
One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to hear how two people came together, fell in love, and decided to take their love to the altar. It amazes me how each story is so unique and I love to watch a bride's face light up as she recounts the series of events that led up to her wedding day. Want to know what brought Hannah and Ben together? It was bear hunting. Through a church internship program, Hannah met Simon. Simon introduced Hannah to his brother Ben. Ben thought Hannah was pretty. BUT THEN, Ben learned that Hannah had KILLED A BEAR and he was hooked. Game over. Marry me. As a little girl, Hannah ...

Mike & Meghan’s 2nd Anniversary
Last year, on Mike and Meghan's first anniversary, a May downpour dramatically changed our photo shoot plans. So this year, when Meghan emailed to schedule a shoot for their second anniversary, we crossed our fingers and hoped for sun. The evening of their shoot was beautiful and we were excited to finally be able to use Red Rock Canyon as our backdrop. And if that wasn't enough, Mike & Meghan informed me that a little someone will be joining us for next year's shoot! I sure can't wait to meet their new babe in a few months and I'm already wondering if he/she will laugh and joke and carry on as much as these two do!
